Our Purpose

Wave Aura was created for those who feel most at home near the water. Inspired by Vancouver Island beaches, seafoam, salt air, and endless summer days, our bikinis are made to move with you and feel effortless, both in and out of the water.

Why Wave Aura Swim? Because it's all about that feeling of catching a wave and letting the ocean's energy take you. Being in the water cuts out the noise, bringing an immediate sense of clarity and respect for the sea. That connection is the ocean's aura, and it’s exactly what inspires our swimwear.

Our Roots: From Coast to Coast

Alongside the idea of creating sustainably made swimwear, designing ocean-inspired pieces also meant being more thoughtful about the impact we leave behind.

That journey took us from the rugged shores of British Columbia to Lima, Peru, the home country of one of us. It was there that we found the quality, craftsmanship, and recycled and biodegradable fabrics we had been searching for. By working with a skilled manufacturer in Peru, we are able to bring you conscious luxury with a global heart.

Conscious Fabrics

Since day one, Wave Aura has been built with sustainability in mind wherever possible. We use eco-conscious fabrics made from recycled and biodegradable materials, transforming waste into soft, durable, UV-protective swimwear that protects the places we love.

Small Batch Production

We purposefully produce in small batches to avoid overproduction and eliminate waste. This means limited stock across each collection, reducing our environmental footprint and making your Wave Aura pieces uniquely yours.

Biodegradable Packaging

Our care for the Earth doesn’t stop at the product. We ship your pieces using 100% biodegradable packaging to ensure that from our studio to your doorstep, we actively limit our impact.

CO2 Control® Production

The fabrics use technology designed to yield premium, skin-friendly material with a lower carbon footprint.

Water reuse

The water used to dye and print the fabrics is recycled and treated in a closed-circuit system.

OEKO-TEX® Certified

Tested for 1,000+ toxins & certified skin-safe.

SPF 50+ Protection

Sun protection to keep your skin safe from harmful UV rays swim after swim.

Quick-Dry

High-performance microfibers shed water rapidly so you can move comfortably through your day.

Giving Back for the Waves

Because the ocean is our muse and our playground, we believe in active stewardship. We proudly donate $3 from every swimwear purchased to the Raincoast Conservation Foundation, directly supporting the protection of our coastal lands, waters, and wildlife for generations to come.
